Powers of siddhas
- To become tiny as the atom within the atom (Anima)
- To become big in unshakeable proportions (Mahima)
- To become as light as vapour in levitation (Laghima)
- To become as heavy as the mountain (Garima)
- To enter into other bodies in transmigration (Prapti)
- To be everywhere in omnipresence (Vasitvam)
- To be in all things,omni-pervasive (Prakamya)
- To be lord of all creation in omnipotence (Isatvam)
These powers are called as "Astama Siddhies" in Tamil.Here 'Astam' means no.8,they are as follows
- Anima
- Mahima
- Laghima
- Garima
- Prapti
- Vasitvam
- Prakamya
- Isatvam
There are ten secondary siddhi
- Being undisturbed by hunger, thirst, and other bodily appetites
- Hearing things far away
- Seeing things far away
- Moving the body wherever thought goes i.e teleportation or astral projection
- Assuming any from desired
- Entering the bodies of others
- Dying when one desires
- Witnessing and participating in the past times of the gods
- Perfect accomplishment of one's determination
- Orders or commands being unimpeded
